William Adams, the official Caterpillar dealer serving Tasmania and Victoria, Elphinstone Pty Ltd, a prominent manufacturer of high-quality products for the global underground and surface mining sectors, United Equipment, a major national provider of both new and used forklifts and access equipment, Engenco Limited, an industrial services company listed on the ASX, along with a diverse range of investments in both private and public companies.
They are seeking a person to join our group who has experience in Apprentice Farm Hand. Co-ordinate for daily duties on a farm based in Burnie, Tasmania. In the workplace, They have 3 permanent people & 4 casual people. who manage the 700 beef cattle on 4 farms in total approx 555 hectares at Cooee Mooreville Road and Highclere.
They are seeking highly individually motivated and expression of interest in farming to fulfill the permanent full-time position of Apprentice Farm Hand based in Burnie.
This job needs someone who pays close attention to details and shows strong initiative. The right candidate must be able to work safely and be eager to learn. With the right training and qualifications, they will operate farm machinery, handle livestock, do minor repairs on equipment, buildings, and fences, perform physical tasks, and work both in a team and independently with little supervision. The role usually involves outdoor work on farms, caring for animals, and traveling between different properties.
The successful applicant would ideally possess the following attributes but are not necessarily required:
- Hold a current driver’s license;
- You have experience/background in farming;
- Able to perform physical tasks with ease;
- Some basic mechanical knowledge;
- Time management and the ability to handle a number of tasks simultaneously, while remaining calm and organized.
- Have an interest in and be willing to learn; and
- Ability to communicate with various stakeholders and other team members.
Candidates must have the right to live and work in Burnie, Tasmania. Candidates have to rights to live & work permit in Burnie, Tasmania.
